EDITOR'S REVIEW: Little is known about this introverted dachshund. Bug likes to keep a low profile, and doesn't seem to like people getting too close or looking at him. In spite of his shyness, Bug has cultivated quite a following, with eager admirers hoping for a chance to pet and hold him. We here at BarkWire are definitely part of that following.

He was the cutest little thing! He was out in a yard sniffing some bushes, but as soon as he saw me he ran away. I don't know what he was so afraid of?

The next day I saw bug looking out of a window. I waved but he ran away and hid and I couldn't see him anymore. I just wanted to say "Hi!" Hi Bug! Maybe I should install a webcam pointed at the window Bug sometimes looks out of?

Do you hear that? That's the sound of --BiGDOG-- clapping in a mocking fashion. Bravo, everyone. Bravo.

Throw yourselves at this pathetic little dog. Oh, he's so great and wonderful, he just doesn't know it. Well, then maybe he's a stupid dog? And who cares about a stupid dog?

If a dog lacks interpersonal skills, then that's no kind of dog. That's a joke. Oh wait, this dog is a joke. For starters, it's not even a dog. Look at the size of this thing! If you can pick it up with one hand and throw it like a football, it's not a dog. Unless it's a puppy, I mean, but Bug is obviously fully grown.

Since this little creature is clearly too small to be a dog, I'm going to request this page is deleted from BarkWire along with all your whimpering little posts. If you want to see real dogs, check out Mainloop, Protagonist, Aguirre, the Wrath of Dog, Venture Capitalist and of course the one, the only: Panzer. I defy anyone in this world to name a better dog. You'll look like a goddamn idiot if you even try.

Possible Post-Traumatic Stress?

Given this dog's trepidation around humans and other dogs, I cannot help but wonder if it is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. All the signs are clearly there - avoidance, anxiety, etc.

I am wondering if Bug has been treated for this? If he remains undiagnosed, he may be missing out on a more fulfilling life. I would very much like the chance to meet with Bug and observe him. Of course he runs away whenever he sees me.

Given the number of mentally ill dogs in this town, I'm very tempted to start a dog psychology clinic. Seems like I could make a real difference here.
