Have you ever seen a first time performer who just chickened out, & couldn't go through with it? I'd imagine pure nerves (performance anxiety, the crowd, etc) would affect the guys more than the women but surely some of the girls have second thoughts?
KM
I have never shot a girls very first scene. That isn't my interest nor the genre I'm involved in.
I have never been a big fan of shooting brand new girls, however I recently did put out a movie with exactly that name. I was surprised how well it turned out. Some of the new performers entering this industry are on another level sexually.
The reason I shy away from shooting new performers is my strengths are not in showing new performers how to pose their bodies. That has never been one of my strong suits. I'm much better suited in other areas.

What are the biggest misconceptions or myths about the industry?
KM
There are no fluffers. They are a myth.
Men do not have to start in Gay porn. Matter of fact doing any sort of gay porn can affect your ability to get steady work in the straight industry.
There are no drugs on set. Drug addicts quickly get weeded out. They can't show up on time and word quickly spreads not to hire them.
The average person (including performers) in the porn industry make a decent middle class or upper middle class living.
Most of the girls don't have daddy issues.
Being around or in porn doesn't turn you into a complete deviant. In 15 years I've been involved in 100's of scenes, edited 100's of hours of porn and I still check out the girl in leggings walking down the street.

Have you ever had to halt a scene you were filming half way through so you could go have a wank?
KM
No, shooting is very physical and draining. I'm to stressed to even think about that. You have a commercial product you need to make. There is no time for something like that.

So when shooting a scene do all the guys walk around with raging boners or does it no longer arouse them at all? Because whenever I think about that I laugh.
KM
That is silly.
Again, you are in a time crunch. Everyone is there to work. Time is money.

How often do girls get injured from falling off the furniture they're precariously balancing on while wearing high heels? Or from being dropped by the male co-stars holding them while doing this weird standing 69 thing? How common are penile fractures?
KM
Rarely have I ever heard of any injuries on set. Once in a blue moon, that involves falling or being dropped.
There have been two male performers in the past five years who both broke the penises when a girl came down at the wrong angle during riding positions. Pretty awful experience. Lots of blood.
