Are you concerned that the Angry Birds franchise is growing creatively stagnant? Fear not, because the folks at Angry Birds Fanon Wiki are cranking out fresh takes on Our Favorite Flock. Somehow the wiki has amassed more than 5,000 articles and 7,000 images, most of which seem to be horrible MS Paint fanart of new characters. Among them are a bird version of the Internet Explorer logo; Rainbow Bird (not to be confused with this rogue "Rainbow Bird" from the comments section); and Mega Giant Bird, who's the largest bird in the Angry Birds fanon so please stop trying to add even bigger birds, guys. Stuck for an idea? Just invert some colors and voila, instant character!
Wiki editors have also crafted some really intense backstories for existing characters. Ever stopped to consider that maybe the birds' main adversary King Pig is actually an immortal, mutated version of "Fanboy" from the Nickelodeon cartoon Fanboy and Chum-Chum who was tricked into causing the apocalypse by an evil crown? Really adds some pathos to the egg-stealing thing, doesn't it?
Then there are epic fan games like Angry Birds Fritos, which features an Angry Bird made out of Fritos, "one of the best chips in the world." Its creator included a lengthy "Updates" section that details the fictional version history of the game ("November 26, 2013: App crashes on 1st, 2nd and 3rd iPhone/iPod generations and some Androids are fixed.)" and a list of possible cheevos. You know, the important things. Meanwhile, here is the game's story in its entirety:
The Angry Birds and Bad Piggies were eating fritos. Then suddenly, they went into to frito world. The pigs steal the eggs because the King gave up on eating fritos, and the birds get angry.
Unfortunately, the Angry Birds Fanon Wiki community is besieged by internal strife. A number of the wiki's veterans have grown so weary of newbie scum waltzing in like they own the place and messing up their precious wiki that they're planning to sling-shot themselves over to a new one:
Every admin needs to listen to this. Including Redbird07, Orangebird, Allan, and more. Since this wiki has gone to literal crap, I've been thinking maybe we could start a "reboot" wiki, similar to this wiki. It's been a good 2 years here, but I think we need a restart.
You know, SpongeTechX is right: It's obviously an untenable situation when featured masterpieces like Our Home is Sinking! must share the same wikispace with complete and utter crap like "Triangle bird." Much like the angry birds and the green pigs, this is a rivalry that can never be reconciled.
An official decree from one day ago: The new pristine, smart-people-only Fanon wiki will NOT incorporate 'pirate speak.'
